Acceptance
By using Truce, you agree to these terms together with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your license to use the app.
License and use
Truce grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Standard EULA and these terms. Truce is intended for adults who consent to hold each other accountable for their own app use.
How accountability works
Each person chooses and blocks apps on their own device using Apple's Screen Time system. The pair shares an accountability timeline and schedule through a private iCloud share. A partner cannot see your app names, website or category selections, usage, screen, or content; cannot add selections to your device; and either party can dissolve the truce from Settings. You are responsible for who you choose as a partner and for the information you share with them.
Truce Pro
Truce is free to use with a functional free tier: one truce, Resolve, up to five individual app or website selections, and preset schedules. Truce Pro unlocks whole categories, additional selections, custom schedules, and Strict Mode. One person's active Pro entitlement covers both participants while they remain paired. Pro is offered as:
- Truce Pro Monthly — auto-renewable monthly subscription.
- Truce Pro Yearly — auto-renewable yearly subscription.
- Truce Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase with no recurring charge.
Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by region and over time. Applicable taxes may apply.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Use Restore Purchases to re-check your Apple Account entitlement on a new device.
Refunds
Apple processes all payments and refunds for the App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. See also Apple's guidance on requesting a refund.
No warranty
Truce is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time system and on both partners' devices being online to sync events; Truce cannot guarantee that every block, notification, or re-lock is delivered instantly in all conditions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Truce and its developer, Novarynix, are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
